The New year gets off to a lively start at the Bury Folk Collective. All of this month’s events take place at The Oaks Barn Public House with some events in the intimate upper room and others in the main bar.
Sunday 4th January
“Wired Folk”…with sound engineer and P.A. system. Start at 7pm £3 entry on door.
Monday 5th January
Unaccompanied Singing …come along in hearty voice. Start at 8pm Free entry.
Wednesday 7 th Jan Old time and bluegrass music. Including blues. Start 8pm £3 entry on door.
Wednesday 21st January
Acoustic Folk Music ..Traditional. Start 8pm £3 entry on door.
Sunday 25th January
“Unplugged”…. Join us for some acoustic sounds. Start 7pm £3 entry on door.
Sunday 1 st February
“Wired Folk” … With P.A. system and sound engineer. Start 7pm £3 entry on door.
We always encourage new talent to come along and “have a go”…everyone needs to start somewhere if they have an ambition to perform…this could be the beginning for those whose New Year’s resolution is to sing or play in public.
