Sgt. Swadling from Newmarket Army Cadet Force presents cadet David Garton with his trophy for his outstanding performance throughout 2014.We teach various subjects throughout the year including skill at arms, map reading, field craft, first aid and cadet in the community to name but a few.
Cadet Garton was picked from a strong short-list from within his detachment, by consistantly attending weekend camps and parade nights (every Tuesday night 7-9pm) and leading by example to some of our newest cadets, our motto is “inspire to achieve” and cadet Garton certainly did this last year and we expect him to continue this into 2015. If you would like to see what the Army cadets are all about why not pop along Tuesday 7pm at Rayes Lane in Newmarket, you must be at least 12 years old and in year 8.
