This month we’ve put together some of the best fake tans that promise to leave you bronzed and streak free!
Bronzing gel, £12.95, Sienna
Thanks to the pump design, this fake tan gel can be dispensed in modest drops of lotion making application easy. Sienna X works well across different skin tones and has a non-sticky texture and a refreshing, citrusy smell which makes it pleasant to use. It also keeps its promise of washing off easy. You’ll want to use this one over and over again!
Garnier no streaks self-tanning mousse, £9.33, Boots
Apply the desired amount of foam to your body for a streak free tan that will just soak into your skin. Created without oxygen to make application soft and smooth, the tanner also eliminates the usual fake tan smell. Best of all, this quick-drying mousse has a slight tint so you can see what your applying as you go. It’s a bargain at under a tenner.
60 Minutes, £24.95, Fake Bake
Apply Fake Bake’s light lotion generously and leave on for up to three hours until you get your desired tan. Then, simply pop in the shower, rinse, and hello bronzed goddess! The lotion itself is easy to apply and absorbs quickly so you don’t have to avoid clean bed sheets or white surfaces. It’s slighter more expensive then your average tanner but does come with a tanning mitt and gloves, making it worth the price tag.
Self tan dark bronzing lotion, £28.05
With a serious lack of sunshine in the UK, we’ve been looking less like we’ve just stepped off a yacht in the south of France and more like we’ve just returned from a rainy weekend in Bognor, so using a ‘dark’ bronzing lotion could be dodgy territory. Luckily, St Tropez Dark Bronzing Lotion was really easy to apply (they recommend latex gloves, but we used our fail safe tanning mitt) and whilst it says it’s dark, it does tailor to your skin tone so it looked completely natural once it had developed. And the best bit is that it’s not sticky, so could be applied a few hours before going out and pop makeup over the top.
