One local audiologist is offering her team’s expertise to the public for free at an event to encourage better hearing for people in and around Bury St Edmunds.

Karen Finch, Managing Director of local, family-run hearing care company The Hearing Care Centre, is passionate about raising awareness of good hearing health and wants to showcase the excellent hearing care service that her team can provide.

The Hearing Care Centre runs a regular hearing clinic from Mount Farm GP Surgery on the Moreton Hall Estate. To encourage locals to check their hearing health, The Hearing Care Centre team have organised a free to attend ‘Hearing Care Day’ at this clinic on Wednesday 18th September 2019.

Attendees with pre-booked appointments will be able to benefit from a full hearing assessment conducted by the company’s expert audiologists to provide personalised recommendations on solutions that could lead them on the path to better hearing.

The company has been recognised many times over for the exceptional customer service that it provides for its customers, including being made a finalist for the Customer Care Award at the most recent EADT Business Awards. The judges remarked that the company offers “ethical, gold standard hearing care” and “puts patients’ needs first”.

Karen Finch said: “It can take between 5 and 10 years for someone to accept they may have a hearing loss and at that point they are not always sure which way to turn.

“Some people don’t realise what superb help is available on their doorstep. I encourage anyone in this position to come and see what we are all about. You have nothing to lose as the appointments are complimentary. It could be one of the best decisions you ever make.”
