Although some members were on holiday our September meeting was well attended. Our speaker was Suze Bowers who entertained us with stories of her time as a tour guide. As a Spanish and French speaker Suze started work as a tour guide in London but eventually organised her own tours for groups wanting to see more of the British Isles. She was an entertaining speaker who had clearly loved her job and had a lot of fun doing it.
We presented a cheque for £45.10 to Tanya Fifield from the My Wish Charity. This money had been raised at our July Meeting when members paid for their refreshments as part of the NHS Tea Party to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the NHS.
