Hi all and welcome to the August edition of the Directory!
Whilst writing this, we are busy planning our funday for the weekend on Sunday July 26th, so by the time you are reading this it will all be over, and hopefully the biggest success ever!! If you came along to enjoy the day and participate in all the activities with all your family and friends, we hope that you had a fabulous day and if the weather was sunny then brilliant! If the weather was raining we apologise but that is one thing we cannot plan here on at the community centre, as that is in the hands of the gods!
If you hold a football loyalty card, these need to be redeemed by end of August, so get them stamped up and exchanged for your free drink as we are no longer offering them after this month!
Now we are planning our 30th birthday of Moreton Hall Club! We are feeling old, but never too old to have a party! And thats our plan, on Saturday August 15th we are hoping to have a big celebration with lots of things planned for the day, Buskers, BBQ, Drinks priced as they were 30 years ago!!, just keep an eye out for the members email or if you are not a member, follow us on facebook and twitter to get all the updates and news to keep you informed.
Our general club quiz is being held on Saturday 8th August, so come along and test your general knowledge, get a team of 4 together and be in with a chance to win a cash prize!
And our Beach Party on Saturday 29th August will be a fun night too with live singer Smartie playing Reggae and Ska. So wear beach themed clothes if you dare! and get into spirit ready to dance the night away!
We are hoping that one of our members will finally win our rollover sunday members draw which stands now at a massive £390, as past members drawn have not been present they didnt get to win the cash as they have to be here at the time of the draw or it goes on to another rollover.
Our sunday roast is proving as popular as ever, even on the hottest days, so if you want to sample our tasty roast dinner, please try to pre-book as we do tend to sell out fairly early these days, so if you want to eat at 4pm, we would advise you to give us a ring at opening 12pm in the bar, and ask for your food to be reserved for that time. This will ensure you get to eat without the disappointment of turning up and being told we have sold out. And if you wish to eat in the side bar, please mention that when ordering food so that the waitresses can reserve you a table.
We would like to thank everyone who comes to the events we put on, the support is appreciated by us all and we want to keep all of our members and non regulars who come to these special events happy so any feedback is very much encouraged so that we can keep on putting on the right events for you all.
This is your community centre to be enjoyed by everyone!
